Eureka 4870DT Upright Vacuum Description

Equipped with a true HEPA filter, this 1,440-watt upright vacuum cleans a 15-inch path illuminated by a headlight and keeps the dust down at the same time. The thoughtfully designed upright vacuum cleaner also features an advanced motor-protection system, which channels dust and dirt particles directly into the vacuum bag, helping to protect the fan and motor for year after year of high-quality results.
On-Board Tools

For thorough above-floor cleaning, the vacuum cleaner supplies a flexible stretch hose and a variety of handy attachments that store on-board for easy access. Use the combination dusting brush and upholstery tool for cleaning tabletops, lamp shades, furniture, and more; the crevice tool for sucking up dust, pet hair, and crumbs from in between couch cushions and other tight spots; and the two standard wands to access hard-to-reach areas--remove dirt from far back corners or cob webs from the ceiling. A side caddy keeps all the attachments neatly stored on-board.

For above-the-floor cleaning, an airflow control switch easily directs air from the base of the vacuum to the hose. This allows users to concentrate all of the vacuum’s suction power where they need it. When deep cleaning carpets, the power is directed to the floor. When using tools to remove dirt from hard-to-reach areas like stairs or baseboards, the power is concentrated in the extension hose.

Getting the Best Results

• Moving brush roll, power switch should be in suction only position when using hose. Do not use the cleaner without the filter and bag properly installed. This can damage the cleaner.

• Some fine particles can restrict airflow very quickly and will decrease performance even before the dust container appears full. For that reason, when vacuuming carpet fresheners or cleaners, powder, plaster dust or similar fine substances, the dust cup and filter may need cleaning more often.

• Use the cleaner to pick up dirt and dust particles. Avoid picking up hard or sharp objects that could damage the vacuum cleaner.

• To avoid unnecessary service calls, check the hose, dust cup and motor filter often. Clear a clogged hose, empty the bag if it is full, and clean the motor filter when it is dirty.
